Raz Kids
Raz Kids is an exciting online reading program, where your child can read and practise reading skills at his or her specific level of development. This program motivates children to improve their reading skills, at school and at home, and they have fun doing it! As the teacher, I can track each child individually, listen to him/her read online, assign work, and give out bonus stars. Please always have your child listen to the story being read first- this helps with any unknown or challenging words before he or she reads on his/her own.
Raz Kids is also accessible on the IPAD - just type in "a-z learning" and select the picture of the parrot to download FREE.
Here is how to access the website and your child’s reading
assignment from any computer connected to the Internet:
1. Go to www.raz-kids.com from your Internet browser and click
on LOG IN.
2. Type in the teacher’s username 3ferguson and
click GO.
3. Find your name or symbol on the chart and
click on that symbol.
4. Enter a picture password if prompted.
5. The books in your child’s assignment and stars earned appear
on a personal assignment page. Your child can choose to listen, read, or take
a quiz by clicking on the symbols below each book. If worksheets have been assigned, these will be sent home by the teacher.
Remember, the more your child reads, the better reader he or she
will become!
